INTERNATIONAL PROJECT - VOICE NOTES

We’re delighted to be working on ‘Voice Notes’, an international creative writing and sounds arts initiative working with displaced communities in Nottingham and Sulaymaniyah in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

Funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council and led by the Nottingham Trent University, Voice Notes will run a series of workshops with young people aged 16-30, resulting in the co creation of an international exhibition, anthology, website and app!

As part of the project, Ebrahim and Leah have been working in Iraqi Kurdistan working with 33 very talented Syrian refugees. Working with sounds artist, Hardi Kurda and Dr Sarah Jackson, they heard the most incredible stories of resilience, hope and solidarity and we can't wait to share them with you.
