As a Culture Coordinator at our organization, Zoe expertly arranges theatre trips and cultural events, ensuring accessibility for all. With a background as an Access Arrangement Coordinator at a Further Education College, she’s dedicated to inclusive experiences. Holding a BA in French Studies and an MA in Translation, Zoe has a passion for travel and multicultural literature. When not exploring new cultures, she enjoys walking and spending quality time with friends and family.

Mais is a freelance facilitator, theatre-maker, and researcher with extensive experience working with theatres and community organizations. As the Founder of Theatre of Dissent, a trustee at Babel Theatre, and chair of Equity’s LGBT+ committee, Mais is dedicated to using theatre for political education and activism. They focus on addressing the interconnected struggles of marginalized communities. In their free time, Mais enjoys writing, board games, and cooking for friends. They are thrilled to join the Compass Collective team to support asylum-seeking and refugee communities through theatre.

With over ten years’ experience in community development, Jennal is dedicated to fostering belonging, well-being, and creativity. Her work bridges the arts, mental health, and social connection — helping people thrive together. Jennal volunteers as a caseworker for Care for Calais, supporting young people through asylum claims and age assessments.
Kessia Gill (She/Her)

Kessia works for an organisation that provides direct, capacity-building support to local charities across the Scottish Highlands. She has a background in interdisciplinary studies, and is particularly interested in how grassroots community initiatives can collaborate to respond to wider, cross-disciplinary challenges. She has previously volunteered with local organisations such as The Highlands Support Refugees, where she helped to sort donations for upcoming aid shipments. Currently based near Inverness, Kessia is looking forward to empathetically contributing to Compass Collective's local, and wider work.
