REFUGEE WEEK FUNDRAISERS

Our Compass Community had an extremely busy and hot weekend fundraising on Refugee Week (19th- 25th) putting our compassion into action, our aim was to raise money for our ongoing summer projects as well as raise awareness for Refugee Week UK. On the Saturday we joined our friends, Breadwinners, on a massive 23km Seven Sisters hike! We were a group of nearly 50 young people, volunteers and staff members and it took nearly 7 hours but the spirits were still high as we danced our way down the hill towards Eastbourne train station at the end of the day. The fun didn’t stop there, the following day we set up ay Hyde Park to complete our 5k, 10k and 21km runs around the lake!

This years was the most successful and active one yet, with the #RefugeeWeek trending at #1 worldwide on Twitter! The whole week was an incredible celebration of all the incredible refugees and asylum seekers all over the world and we had so much fun with all of our young people, take a look at a few photos from our events below!

Thank you to everyone who has already sponsored our community! Our fundraiser is still live and you can show your support by donating, every penny helps to ensuring we can put on fun events over the Summer.
